Baatarsaikhan is a Burmese (or possibly, by a slim chance of genetics, a dark Siamese... only time and pups will tell) from Mainely Gerbils. His mum was a Siamese and his sire was a Burmese - he, himself, is quite gorgeous. He's a bit wiry from all his running on the wheel, and loves to chew things.
Sarangerel, also a Burmese, is shaping up quite lovely herself. She's from Gerbil Parade, and her parents, like Baatarsaikhan's, were a Burmese and a Siamese. The first thing I noticed about her was her intense friendliness. She loves being close and cuddling up to people (including Baatarsaikhan!). She's recently started to enjoying running, herself.
Baatarsaikhan is the boss, as well as the primary nest-builder, of the pair. It might have something to do with his being a couple of weeks older than Sarangerel. They're both easy to startle, but they're also happy to be handled and explore.
Khadag is a Honey Cream from Storybook Gerbils. She's outright friendly, and loves chewing consecutive, symmetrical patterns before coming back later and breaking her paperboard down to nest material. She's not so much interested in the wheel, and has a tendency to sleep standing in the corner of aquariums during car trips.
Narangerel is Sarangerel's brother, also from Gerbil Parade, and a CP Nutmeg. He's more outgoing than his sister, and willing to display a lot more energy. When not being handled, he tends to demonstrate this energy in wheel-running or just flat out running. On occasion, he gets to go in the running ball and bound around the room, much to his heart's delight.
Khadag is the boss and primary nest-builder, and
she quite easily sits on Narangerel when he bugs her. Not that he
ever seems to mind. They're both in love with attention, and will
run up and beg for the chance to get familiar if they notice someone outside
their cage.
